Ok, so long story short, I bought a 2003 Evo last fall from a private seller. He told me GSC 262 cams were installed in the car back in 2004. After doing some research It doesn't look like GSC ever made a 262 cam for the Evo 8. I'm guessing they're 268 cams, but hopfully someone can shed some light as to what they might be. Thanks.

He did say they were GSC S1 cams, but i'm starting to think he meant to say 268's instead of 262. He also said he didn't change the valve springs. Did GSC make the 268 cam back in 2004?

 

probably gsc s1's and no you dont need upgraded springs or retainers with them
