I have taken other cars here in the past and had no issue, just never the EVO. I was contacted by their claims dept today and told to send a estimate from a body shop. So well see. They acted like they were going to cover all damages.

 

Everyone needs to do research before they get major work done on anything... car or house even.

A place that doesn't have ANY actual mechanics is bound to do these things to the cars they work on.

 

I hear everybody, I was thinking that on way in and I even told myself its just tires what could they possibly F' up? Anyways like I said lesson learned from now on if they have better prices on tires will just buy and pickup and take to reputable shop.

 

I wouldn't even go back to them to fix the car. Who knows what else they might screw up. Just ask for money for repairs and leave.

 

Update: Guy just called me handling case and said he is sending check out for 1937.45, I will deal with that.

 

Wonder how Sam's dealt with their employees after that. Probably gave them an extra 15 minute break. I'm sure the manager had to have known about it since the owner couldn't even get out his parking space. I bet you if you look at the videos, you'll see the manager in the driver seat and two morons pushing the car into the parking space.

 

She tried and tried to deny responsibility and kept saying how do I know it wasnt like that before we got it? Hmmm it wont run and i live 25 miles away, thats a pretty good indication. Manager, however did that happen.

Anyways they fixed it, now just have to drive around on stock parts till mine come in.

 

Too bad your mechanic brother did not stop you from getting work done at SAMs.

If you feathered the clutch will keeping throttle around 3K RPM's it would inch forward without dying, but by no means would that be a indication something is wrong.

I've always taken my wheels and tires off my Evo and then taken them to get new tires mounted. Customer service nowadays is pathetic at best! Honestly Wal-Mart has impressed me the most out of the so called tire specialist. People just don't give a **** anymore!

 

+2 on that people really dont care I'm friends with the only guy that mounts and balances my tires.

 

bro not trying to sound like a broken record or anything like that, but your first mistake was taking it to sams club. sams, pepboys, tire kindom or anything dump like that will do the ****test service, scrap your wheels and what not. even though i own rota wheels and everyone has a different idea on them, i continue to bring my car to a quality tire/wheel shop that has the machine that DOES NOT scrape the wheels and has a quality techian working on the car. you live and your learn bro. LESSON OF THE DAY!!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR FOR TIRE OR WHEEL SERVICE TO A REGULAR SHOP....
