Evo X mudflaps on evo 8?

Evo X mudflaps on evo 8?
Here's a noob question! I have a RR evo 8 and i want the all red mudflaps with white logo. But they only come for evo X's. Is there anyone on here that has made them fit? Is it hard? I might just get them and try to put them on anyways. I used to have black ones but i sold them too my buddy... with a Subaru legacy and he hack jobbed them on LOL. Just a quick question to see if anyone out there has done it.
