Car stop accelerating.

Hi all , today I decide to hit the highway like any other day doing
70 mph - 85 mph. Suddenly I hear a pop sound than my car slowly
de-accelerate . On gear 1 to 4 the car will not go more than 10 mph,
on 5th gear I was able to go 30 mph to get home . I checked all my
vacuum lines and they all were intact.

Not sure what went wrong. Can anyone give me a suggestion where to check?.

by the way this is a 2003 evo 8.

One of your intercooler pipes popped off. Most likely the UICP or LICP.

Yeh same happend to me. just blew a UICP, Sucked tho it was dark and raining so I couldn't find the faut and missed the state of origin which was on that night. Went back the next day and took me like 10min to fix.
Was a bit pissed off.

Zip ties? Now thats just ghetto.

When you put the new clamp on, spray some hair spray into the coupler ends.

Makes it stick, to make it more secure. Less chance of it popping off.
