4RETECH will probably hit 300,000 miles before I hit 50,000... and I'm at just under 44,000 now in a daily driven Evo haha.

 

do you drive the car thru winter? i would have to think so with that mileage, but have you kept everything underneath from rusting and if so how ? i know how the salt is in NY and i'm scared to drive mine lol

 

But the motor has been rebuilt? Original 250k would be cool.

 

Motor was rebuilt at 209K miles which to me is still cool. I'd be very happy if I get 100K out of mine. I got 80K more to go.

Yes, car gets driven through the snow with 4 snow tires. That's what I boguth it for. I prefer Blizzaks myself.

A day after every snow storm when it is semi dry on the roads I wash my under carriage, wheelwells, front, back and sides. Keeps it from looking really bad.

 

Thats a lot of miles! Great to see the car has done well for the most part though.

 

Thanks, yeah i'm going to pick up a set of dunlop winter tires today. I can't afford another vehicle for winter so i'll see how the Evo does lol.

I was planning on pressure washing it every week or so during winter and was looking at this under carriage rustproofing this one business by me offers, it's not undercoat but some other type of spray. Just wasn't sure if it was worth the money or not, i might give it a shot though.

 

4RETECH Have you repaint the front end of the car? I am assuming you have a lot of rock chips.

 

Front repainted at 224,700 due to my lack of driving skills,lol

 

With that mileage and a absolute beast! I need to go for a ride now that you are on e85.
