So I'm driving down the highway at normal speeds and I hear a loud pop. I look behind me and my vortex generator is flying away. Now there's a big line across the roof where it used to be.
At least I'll have a box to open next week.

Try using some adhesive promoter on the 2-sided tape next time. Should help.

Was it the stock one or an aftermarket addition?

Yeah that sucks, 3m makes some awesome adheasives though. You should look into it. Also doesn't the antenna hold it on also?

Next time learn to attach things properly. It's a wonder your R34 DRIFT bumper has stayed attached for this long.

That sucks. At least it wasn't something worse like a rock smashing into your wind shield.

Yea, I guess the PO did't use the proper adhesive, being that I did't attach it. And yea, its amazing that the factory bumper is still on my car....

I noticed to the adhesive was getting old and I was planning on replacing it, I just never got around to it and the wind beat me to it. I have a perrin shorty antenna, so I guess that doesn't hold it like the stock one.

Yeah def try some 3M double sided tape, my front bumper lip clips are busted and no kind of glue helped. I picked up some thin double sided tape and it's been holding up pretty well.

It's light so it should hold.

Try some 3M VHB tape. Properly cleaned and prepped, a 1 inch wide strip the width of your roof can hold about 8 tons.

Yea, it does suck, but it's only a 50 dollar piece from lancershop. Im just kinda of upset about driving around with that mark on my roof for a few days.
