No more back order for the EVO series.

For those deciding on Mechanical vs Electronic

I found this video quite interesting side by side comparison ( These aren't the EVO series but are pro sports)

Electric is on the Right, Mech on the left.. Notice the lag.

I'm not surprised by the lag. Electronic has to send the signal from the sensor to the gauge, gauge has to translate, stepper motors have to kick into action. Mechanical is ran straight from positive pressure and vacuum.

Right. Almost makes me want to stick with Mechanical. The boost didnt even read accurate when he revved on the elec.

I wouldn't worry about the lag. Being accurate is what matters. I have my evo boost gauge im bringing to work. Im gonna make a video showing the accuracy. I have calibrated standards so it'll be a good test.

It all depends on the quality of parts... If the EVO boost gauge I bought is inaccurate, it will be going away. But, the Greddy gauges i'm pulling out, the boost gauge was quick as hell to respond and accurate... just doesn't read above 2bar

Also fwiw, a lot of gauges use the same sensor. There a tolerance of 2% of full scale on these things so none of them are expected to be dead on. If you're overly concerned about it then you should have the ROM patched and log it with an OMNI 4 BAR.

Bringing this thread back.... for those of you that have these gauges, I'm concerned with the color. I want the prosport gauges color to match the factory instrument cluster color. Is the red or the amber closer to the instrument cluster? And how close is the color? I'm just gonna settle for white if the red or amber ones don't match the instrument cluster.

How are the EVO gauges on the track in the sun, since they don't offer hoods for them?

I have the EVO red/blue oil pressure and boost. They are blue during the day and I have them turn red when I turn on the headlights. The blue seems to show a little better on bright sunny days.
The guages and a brightness screw on the back

I have mine set to blue at all times. Can't really see the readings on the gauges in red during the day.

I'm worried that these gauges will look too much "Fast and Furious."
