a classic?
Well this is a question that has been asked many times before but is hard to search for especially at work. But I was rear ended and am now hoping to get a free jdm rear bumper. I talked to the Guy at the body shop and he said if he could order all factory parts he would install it no problem. My problem is I don't know if you can order a jdm rear and jdm crash beam from Mitsubishi. Someone let me know and if possible part numbers please thanks in advance
Go to demonwerkz.com they offer a custom rear crash beam. Most companies will offer this when you order the JDM bumper.
It's your car, you should be able to decide how you want it fixed and what parts you want to use. Body shops are greedy, they'll tell you that you're gonna get a new bumper, but in reality they'll just repair it if it's repairable. They'll have you sign a form so the check goes straight to them and they'll pocket the difference.
Go talk to them, or take it to a different body shop who won't mind you telling them how you want it fixed and what parts you want to use.

If they want to be difficult have them search for the crash beam. If they want you to do the work call one of the major companies that bring in the JDM rears, they should have an idea of what the part number is to the beam.
Good Luck!
