The economy def plays a role for what things sell for. Although, the supras are still out-****in-ragious. A local here just bought a stock 94 supra, 78k miles. $34k!!!!! WTF!!!

The economy will make its way up again, if it does like it has in history. I hope.

If so, all this talk about the evo being worth big money like a supra, I will keep mine forever!!! lol

I mean, I think the evos still hold a great value. A nice clean evo 8 will bring mid teens with over 100k sometimes. That sounds pretty good to me so far. My car still books for almost 21k. After almost 6 years old and 60k miles, still worth something.

exactly a Viper, a car that gets beat by pretty much everything with round 500whp and they do not hold value as much as people think......

Same thing happened with the Supra and FD RX-7.

The Evo is superior to both those cars in a lot of ways, and has a better reputation than both those cars in professional motorsports.

You can't deny the fact that Evo's have dominated Time Attack for almost a decade now. That is something that will go down in the history books. No other car has been able to topple Cyber, HKS, and Sierra Sierra Evo's.

The Supras and RX-7s didn't have that kind of pedigree, and they are still in the 20k price range.

Just wait...
Agree. The Supra has a good engine but the Supra suspension and drivetrain are not in the same league as the Evo. In fact the Supra frame is designed for cruising and the car is a GT not a rally derived car like the Evo.

Do you know what a 900whp and a 1200whp Supra have in common?

They're both 9 second cars.

I always thought the punchline was that they were both 12 second cars.

I agree. I think the value of the Evo, especially the 8 and 9, is only going to go up over the next few years. Everytime I think about selling mine I think about how much more it might cost me to get another one and I talk myself out of it.

Lol guys. The other week the gas guy was like sell me your EVO 8! I told him 40k to leave me alone, but before I walked away I also mentioned that my EVO laughs at exotic cars.

The other thing that will be interesting to see is if the Xs hold their value as much as the VIIIs and IXs. So far, from what I've seen, that doesn't seem to be the case. You can already find used Xs for the same price as some IXs.
