Question Cold Start Help..

When i turn the car over it will not start... but when i give the car gas it starts fine, but if i stop giving it the gas it will stall... The fuel pump works fine... i can get the car to run but when i throw it into neutral it will stall, or if i stop and do not give it gas it will start.... I do not know the problem is, but my father thinks it could be bad fuel, sticking throttle body, and maybe i need fuel injection cleaner... please help me figure this problem out!!!! Thank you for reading.

Could be the throttle position sensor. You say it happens on cold starts, but does it do it at all after the car is completely warmed up?

Try to clean your EGR valve, or maybe the hoses on the EGR popped off. Do you have any CELs?

What injectors are you using? Some of the larger injectors like to drip fuel a little bit and will require slight tweaking to the tune for fix or just deal with having to open the throttle body up to get some air in the motor.

I had a problem similar to this, both cold start and even if the car is already hot. I had a CEL which I ignored since it was always on due to the P0300 cold. But upon pulling the codes, something came up for the EGR solenoid, replaced it and all was good again.

2nd time was the crankshaft position sensor. But again you have no CEL.

Since you don't have a code, then try checking your EGR valve, it looks like a flying saucer shaped thing below your throttle body. You can either clean it, or check if the hoses came off.

I'm about 100% sure its what I said in post #7

Who tuned the car? There are many "tooners" that do not know how to properly scale the injectors and causes the same exact problem you describe.
