So chaps... it seems as though my A/C condenser is leaking like a sieve. Removing this seems very straight forward, but my question is how do I go about recharging the system after I put a new one in? I have a sneaking suspicion that its something more than just getting one of those recharge cans from Autozone or what have you...
Thanks!
FWIW... the system is completely "empty" as I tried a recharging can and it wouldn't hold any pressure at all. The hiss was coming from the top area near the condenser, so at this point I'm only ASSUMING thats the problem. If anyone has other thoughts... feel free to post them up!

you have to go to a licensed MVAC Technician with an EPA 609 Certification. Letting refrigerant escape into the atmosphere is a punishable offense. You can be fined or jailed.
Also the technician will have a special machine that will properly recover, recycle, leak test, and recharge your system. The cans sold in the auto parts stores are a supplement not actually r-134a.
