not according to the website

"It’s the event you’ve been waiting for all year! It’s the Mitsubishi Year End Clearance Event! You could qualify for 0% for 72 months on any new 2003 in stock (excludes Lancer Evolution)! Stop by your neighborhood Mitsubishi Dealer and check out the hot new Eclipse coupe and Spyder, rated a Best Buy from Consumer’s Digest for a fourth time. Or how about the stylish 2003 Galant with a Manufacturer’s rebate of $2500? Just imagine your friend’s faces when you drive up in a newly leased 2004 Endeavor, they’ll think you got promoted! No matter which Mitsubishi vehicle line up suits your lifestyle, now’s the time to take advantage of the great offers and leases below! "

Well, isn't it true if it's printed in the paper, then they have to honor it? I checked and rechecked the small print. Anyone know the legal angle on this? I checked the Subaru ads too, and they explicitly wrote "excludes WRX STi."

You can not get 0% for 72 months on an Evolution.

I have ready many of your posts and I like your buying strategy.

I live in the SF bay area and I am in the market for an evo. From reading your posts it seems like you are getting ready to buy too.

Would you be interested in approaching a dealer together and see what kind of deal we can get for two cars?

It seems like this might be one of those times when it’s the more the merrier.
I think your best bet is to negotiate the best deal you can with the dealers in your area - and there are some great ones there. Just locate as many of the cars as you can. Dealers look for clean deals. Two buyers with different needs is not a clean deal.

Also, FYI Motor Trend February issue says '04 RS is now on sale currently in US. Even if they haven't hit showroom floors, the RS's will start to put pressure on the 03's very soon. There is an RS at the LA auto show, and there will be one at Detroit next week too I think.

Keep an eye on inventory via the web site. you can access dealer links and some of them show what inventory they have.

I understand that only sold about 3500 EVO's out of 5000 slated for the USA. I know that my local dealership is begging people to buy the last three 03 EVO's.

I know mitsu is coming with a new program on the 6th.
I also want to buy a car but do not feel like paying the same $ for 03 if I can get 04 soon.
There is no info when they will have it in showrooms though. I hear 1 to 3 months.

What a great time to buy brand new 03 evos, huh? From what i know the 04's would probably be the same. Except for the RS.

Hey, they may have screwed up the small type for all I know, but there is no mention of "excludes Lancer Evolution." Or the paper might have screwed up.
Either way, I'll scan it in today if I get time. Just FYI, it was the big ad for Bell here in Phoenix in yesterday's paper.

I heard the only changes to the 04 are different seat covering and a better stereo system.

Hey Winston,

Check your pm's. Jus moved to Phoenix, interested in what you know about the dealers here (besides Mark Mitsubishi).
