Prosport oil filter adaptor

Ok so I was considering getting the prosport oil filter adaptor for my IX MR and was on the STM website and was reading about it. And it didnt seem like a bad thing to have. Cause I wanted to do oil pressure, temp, and fuel pressure, Either through AEM or defi. So people that have used them on there evos. Please give some feedback. Heres the link http://www.streettunedmotorsports.co...wich_plate.htm

Mixed reviews about them. I have the IX MR as well I did an oil pressure but tapped into the oil filter housing. Was not hard and way better option less likely to leak. I have heard that the sandwich filter leaks. I just know what I have read never had any experience with it..

Don't do it. I lost my engine because of this. Exact same part. The oem oil assembly on the car has two ports already for oil temp and oil pressure.

Plus this makes your oil filter stick another inch or so down further and can scrape on the ground easier as it is 1" closer.

I have had the same part on my Evo 8 for close to a year now with absolutely no issues at all,i have the Prosport oil temp an pressure gauges,it makes it easy to install the sending units without having to mess with the OEM stuff.

As a practical matter, I can't see a need for a sandwich adapter if the factory oil filter housing comes equipped with two threaded ports already.
