Question Suede Interior help

Hey everyone, so I'm planning to line my headliner with suede and was wondering if you have to pre-treat the material before installing?

I redid my headliner with a different material than suede but I just used 3M Adhesive Spray and it's held up for over a year now.

Yeah, that's what I plan on using too or maybe something else.

What kind of padding? What's the padding for?

What problem did you have?
I don't have padding and my headliner looks incredible!

I have an entire suede interior....and I mean headliner, pillars, door panels, dash (top only), arm rest, and shift boot.. red stitching to match..
did the roof with medium gray to match the gray pannels and everthing else is black.
Mine was done professionally by a buddy and he did an excellent job, they use a very specific adhesive that is only commerical use,no pre-treat.

Do you know if your friend pre-treats the suede before applying?

I'll try to snap some.. I've tried in the past but honestly I just dont have a good enough camera to do it any justice, really need an SLR.... I get a lot of complements... most people who arn't car ppl think its stock
By far my favorite is the dash, completely takes care of the glare issue, its not for the faint of heart, the entire dashboard needs to come out to get the top off.... most people dont notice the headliner is covered because its gray and matches all the plastics.. I think often times when ppl cover the headliner it is always a dark color, I felt black was too dark for the rest of the interior.

When we say 'pre-treat' what are we referring too? steaming?
I will ask just to be 100% sure, but I did watch him do it.... covered all pillars and headliner within 45mins (I helped take it apart of course) and it was back together in a snap... hes good and my headliner is flawless.... sometimes you can normally find some small portion that isn't 100% aheard like the size of a nickel or quarter or something...

I'm not sure exactly what it means. The site I'm buying it from says make sure to pre-treat. I'm assuming that they mean wash the material. So far, from what I've been reading it's not really necessary to do so, but just want to make sure I do it right the first time.

Ok, the question is... is this actual animal hide suede or synthetic suede?
how the material behaves and of course the cost () is much different.

lol it's synthetic. I can't find the exact link of the material but it's cheap.
