Crank sensor and Cam sensor issue.

Crank sensor and Cam sensor issue.
I have an evo 5 motor into an 8 shell. Using an 8 intake manifold, computer and harness.
My idle is fluctuating and I wanted to know if having the cam and crank sensor that originally came in the evo 5 motor would operate differently with the 8 ecu and harness. The car drives and runs fine but I get a CEL code for the cam and crank. And it starts right up also no issues. Also a shop told me that it may be the thing that spins with the crank and cam sensors that may be different to an evo 8 motor.
Anybody can point me in any direction for this?
