If your not a fan of it and have only negative things to say, then its best to not say anything at all.

So what you are saying is that you have NEVER said you disliked something in your entire life?? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't open public forums, such as this one, available to those who want to talk freely about cars, parts and other things that they like or dislike? So because my opinion differs from yours, you feel as though it is your responsibility to tell me that the way I'm doing things is incorrect? There was no time in your pious life that you have made some kind of critical remark about something? If not, then you must be Jesus reborn and we mortals should walk on eggshells on these forums because you are perfect in your opinion and responses!!

It's just music and I personally don't care what anyone listens to in their own car. I offered up my review on the subject, as do countless others in many others threads of this forum. Check out the Show and Shine section to see how many threads include people knocking cars that they don't like the way it looks. When you put your opinions out there for the world to see, you have to expect that someone will respond with "I disagree" in some form.

Also,FJF, your statement of tolerance is an amusing irony at best as you consistently blast people on this forum for their thoughts and opinions. I'm not saying that you don't make valid points in some cases, but in many cases you are pedantic to the point where it subtly (or some times not) insults the person you are addressing.

I enjoy a handful of dubstep songs, most of them are too weird... I LOVE trance though, Dream Techno is one of my favorites

Edit: I edited my initial comment, as I don't want the point to get lost. If you looked though the other music thread, you saw a part of my record collection. I've only met a handful of individual over my lifetime who suffered from the same degree of overall exposure, and I don't expect random people posting comments on the Evo forum to be musical mavens with critical depth and breath to comprehend every genre. What I do expect is some degree of tolerance, especially when a particular topic isn't one's mainstay.

If you ever see me post on the bases of ignorance, as you have done, please free to blast me any way you want. You'll have to get in line and wait your turn.

Interesting. Let me point out, though, that the "basis of ignorance" that you reference, is an opinion. You believe my opinion is ignorant based on what? I do not believe you have any substantiated facts to back up the fact that my statement is ignorant other than the fact that it disagrees with your own.

Because I said that dubstep is for whiny, angsty teenagers then all of a sudden I'm ignorant? How do we know for a fact that it isn't? A large portion of the people that I have met that are heavily into dubstep strike me as quite whiny and angsty. At the same time, I also believe a good portion of the population agrees with my opinion and would rather not hear dubstep be compared to music of almost any other caliber. Again, I'm throwing opinions out there. You may think dubstep is in fact the greatest thing since Beethoven and you have the right to believe that. But you don't see me going around calling you ignorant because you see an appeal in what I believe to be a dreadful type of music do you?

There is no reason for people to get butthurt when someone else doesn't like their music. You have to expect that someone will say something on an open forum though. If there ever comes a time where I start calling random people's cell phones to tell them how much I dislike dubstep, then ok, maybe I'm being kind of a jerk. But this is an open thread on a public forum. Just take a minute to relax, put on some dubstep and that will help get sand out of those hard to reach places.

PS- One does not need to be a connoisseur to be able to state or joke about something they dislike. I've heard my fair share of dubstep as someone who works with my brother listens to it all the time. It all sounds the same to me. I don't have to be a thorough expert in monkey **** to know that I dislike it to the point I won't be blasting that out the windows of my Evo either.

I like Discovery. "So Insane" is my favorite track. "Osaka Loop Line" is also cool.

"Black and Blue" by Miike Snow is a very chill song.

No matter how much you write, it's still ignorance. Just because you call it an opinion, it doesn't make it any less ignorant. You feel justified in arguing vehemently for insulting an entire musical sub-genre, while admitting that you know nothing about the subject. It says more about you than it does about me.

You're ignorant. You don't know anything about this subject. The original Dub masters can be comfortably described as pensioners, the crew that replaced them is currently raising their grandchildren and the style keep on evolving. Who were the folks supporting Dub all along? "Whiney, angsty teenagers" some of whom are dying from old age? You clearly do not have the cultural/intellectual background to realize that your assertion is laughable, and...you argue and argue and argue. As if ignorance is a point of pride. Unbelievable.

FJF yo and I must be brothers from another mother. Tainted was a classic to me. I will listen to anything from SV all day. Esp when JayDee was manning the boards.

Elzhi has a project out where he basically does his own version of Illmatic over live intrumentation. Its called El-Matic.

Dope.

I don't really "get" some music genres so I choose not to comment.
