Gauge installation

Well I have all aem digital af, oil press, and boost. When I install these is it ok to join all of the power and ground wires and just use 1 out for each of them? Also does anyone have any tips or know and how tos for these gauges? Im using a gruppe-s dash pod by the way. Thanks.

Check out the How To section of the forums.

Here's a pretty good gauge installation post with pics. It should be similar enough to what you're doing to give you some tips.

I believe he joins the wires together.

I have an MR with the stock gauges too, so I'm interested in knowing as well.

If you can't tap the old gauges for power, you can pull it from the fuse box.

Yes you can tap the power from the gauges. If you have a memory function then you have to tap into a different source. I tapped into my fuse panel. Worked well for me.

I've installed gauges in my friend's car with stock gauges and I just used his stock power/ground connections and it worked fine, no issues.

So you're aware... the AEM gauges seem to have the most finicky install.

I had mine tapped to my clock and ultimately the door lock fuse AND the clock until I realized that the gauge had actually took a dump.

The nice thing about the clock is that it has all of the wires you need, and they're labeled on the back of the connector so you can't mix them up.

This is on a IX MR btw.

Also, no, you cannot use one wire for a power source. It will yutz with the A/F readings...
