Ya forget local. I picked mine up local by luck only 20 minutes away. Never seen the car before and since then I have only met one local owner and that was just last night at a meet, but I suspect he hasn't been around long as his tags were still from illinois. I don't think its the fact people don't own them around here but the fact they aren't for sale or driven alot. Prob the same in ur area.

Hey,
I know this isn't the right forum/spot - but I'll be posting this up shortly in the marketplace here. I'm the original owner, moderate mods all done by Dynocomp in town.

i drove to Minnesota from IL to pickup my evo. if it's the right car, the drive shouldn't matter. i rented a ford focus for the day (awesome gas mileage) and took a road trip to pick her up. used nearly half a roll of blue painters tape and drove her back. when you find the right car you'll know and don't settle for someone else's mess.

My car has been driven in winter all it's life and the underside isn't bad when you look at it. It's more about how many bolts you can break off of the car because it was seized that matters most.... Sadly, I learned that the hard way... Impact guns are your friends.
