Trans fluid drain or no

I am thinking about changing my clutch this weekend, the only problem is that everything shipped to me quick except the trans fluid, is it reccomended or required to remove the fluid to pull the transmission, or can I wait until next week when the fluid arrives

You have to drain the trans fluid to replace a clutch. I would recommend replacing the fluid, but if you are in a bind, you can reuse the fluid and replace it next weekend.

I would hold off then. Also you may need tcase fluid. or ACD fluid if you have ACD system.

If you are really in a bind and this is your only free time, use a very clean bucket to retain fluid. Worst case you still have your old fluid for another week.

But problem is if you spill any, you won't have enough to put back in.
