ok so when i got the car it had 280 comp cams. so of course i had a ridiculous idle not so long after getting the car i started getting my check engine light flash a high rpms under high boost. nothing changed for a year and a half. i tried many things to fix the issue with no progress. then one day i noticed the flashing light had creeped down lower on my rpms when under boost. i decided to find out what wrong and baby the car. it turned to winter i forgot about it then spring came and i did a 1-4th pull and right as i let of the gas the 4th piston broke. lalalala i rebuilt the motor removed the cams that i thought was causing the idle issue and replaced with stock. but i still have a idling miss throw a p0300 i have right at around 145 for compression new plugs wires coils. i don't want everyone to say tune. i know it needs one probably but why did my flashing check engine light get worse and worse. what can cause a miss at idle? my a/f are all good they are about 14.8-15.8 on idle wot its about11.5 12ish. the only thing i can think of would be injectors? sorry for the long story and bad grammar but im not driving my car again until i get this thing fixed. i know its got to be something stupid and simple. throw and crazy idea you got at me. thanks

 

is the blinking check engine your Knock sensor? Do you know if you have it set to blink when you knock? Also did you check your Rear 02 sensor? Could be the cause of a rough idle trying to compensate... Also did you check for a boost leaK.

 

no boost leaks. i don't see why it wouldn't be my knock sensor? i've never changed my my rear 02 sensor. ive never gotten a code to point to it and my a/f/r is fine at idle. its real jumpy tho

 

you have a test pipe or a cat? I just had a similar issue..

Had the same problem. The car was tuned with tephra mod the service engine light is programed toflash 3 times at low rpms and 5 times at high to tell you that it's got a knock get it reflashed with a less aggressive map.

 

it about 3 inch back from where the wires come out of the car. you only have a few iches of play anyways. i would say its with in inches of oem if not exactly where oem is

 

it flashes more then five time. it will flash forever if you stay on it. i've worked backwards and have afew mods on it now, so i think im gonna get a stock reflash and see if that changes anything god idea?
