cam cover stuck on!

cam cover stuck on!

sooo im installing my cams right now, just got everything lined up with TDC and got all of the bolts loose for the cam cover... but the cam cover WON'T COME OFF

any advice? besides KEEP PULLING...? its stuck on there pretty well it wont even budge

Idk what a cam cover is...

I'm assuming you mean the cam caps. Un bolt them and get a rubber mallet and tap the sides if them and they will come off. Also be sure to keep the caps in the order you take them off. There's a reason they have arrows on them

Are you sure you got all the bolts out??

Inner ones too??

Anyway, if you are certain, you can take a prybar with a light twisting action to get the seal to slowly come apart. If you use too much force you may crack it.

If you're talking about the cam gear cover there should be 4 bolts, the bottom ones are quite hard to get off, so you might have missed one. Also the plastic seals may have melted and become stuck over time, so just pry it off with a bit more force. If it breaks, just get a zacklee clear cam cover!
