4g63 engine number

Hey all im trying to by a 4g63 motor and guy claims its a evo 6 motor.. I have then engine number but how do i really find out its from a evo 6?

Your best bet is to probably take that number to a

dealership.

I'm not a pro on this but aren't all 4-7 motors the same?

Not quite. They are very similar and most stuff will transfer.
