These are serious turbos.
Fully spooled at 3kRPM and work amazing with a 84mm anti surge housing at big boost levels.

Perfect turbo for our cars, in my opinion. I was seeing 20 psi right around 2600 RPM on 2.0 L. I could pull away from the stop sign and spin all four tires in first gear LOL
It was the most fun I've had in my car. Instant boost and acceleration.
I would have to look at my dyno chart, but I think I made right around 430 wheel horsepower with small cams and basic bolt-ons.

What is your prediction if you were to run a big cam with the same setup 91/E85 wheel hp ???
Kelford 280
S3
M3 Cossie
S1, etc, etc

S1 is what I have. I'm not sure how much more it would do with a larger cam. It can only move so much air, and I feel it was maxed out on my setup.
I believe I was around 350whp on 91oct.
Maybe someone that has run larger cams will chime in.

Definitely interested. Currently considering either GSC S1 or S2 cams and E85 with this turbo.

With S2s, you would probably wouldn't notice much difference in spool, if any. They will be a bit more efficient up top, too. I was going for all-out spool/response/etc, so that's the only reason I stuck with S1s.

I'm currently in the build stages of my Evo IV with the HTA71. My set up will consist of:

2.4L standard bore
9:1 Manley pistons
Manley turbo tuff rods
Jun 264 cams
Walbro 450 w/rewire
FIC 1650's
E85 fuel

This is just the basic run down, but definitely have all the supporting mods to go with it. I am hoping to get in the 425whp/425tq range with this setup.

Oh my god, that will be fun. It'll feel like a v8.

I didn't 450/400 on E85 at 30psi with stock block and cams. Best turbo for the street and for our stock 2.0L imo. Just saw a FB post of a local who had his Evo 8 built with a 10.5:1 2.4L, 272 cams (not sure of the brand), and a 71hta. It did 460/490 at a conservative 25psi on E54 fuel. If the boost was turned way up this thing would be a monster

Displacement + high compression = impressive numbers ÷ by a whole lot of tickets

So initial numbers before boost leak stopped it, 384awhp and 356wtq @28psi|93oct. Mustang Dyno

Quick breakdown:
MAP Ported Exhaust Manifold
71HTA with 24# Turbosmart IWG
Black AEM Cam Gears
Kelford 272 cams
Walbro 255HP fuel pump
PTE 1000cc Injectors
Spoolinup COP
EVO IX Metal Blowoff Valve
ETS 2.5" Upper and Lower Intercooler Pipes
AMS 3.75" FMIC
Buschur 3"
Stainless 3" DP
Ultimate Racing HFC - Gutted

I told them to keep the tune somewhat between aggressive and conservative as it is a daily driver for the next year. I was hoping for 400 but since it's on a mustang dyno then I am happy with it. It is in the process of getting all the boost leaks corrected then retune. Hopefully, it can pull a little more out of it.

So I just got back my car but no dyno graph to share yet. final numbers 385awhp|375wtq on 93oct. Tuned by Remy at DDA. Again, this is on a mustang dyno so very happy with the numbers.

I have to fix yet another issue and will try to get the final tune done.
