2.3, holds head gaskets correctly, no issues.

What do you want to do with your car????

2.3l is a proven platform; fairly bullet proof and offered by a number of trusted vendors here on Evom...

If I had a choice I would do a 2.4l LR with Mivec feed but I run my car only for road racing in a series that limits hp/wt. I want the most tq. as possible which the 2.4 would give me..

What are your goals?

I have a 2.3L and it was expensive compared to a 2.4l. If I had a choice to do it again, I would pick up a 2.4LR from English Racing and call it a day. My 2.3L hasnt let me down tho...everything else just seems to break lol

I just got the brand new ball bearing fp black. I'm putting 1650 fuel injectors in with double fuel pump ams kit. My goal is to have 500 to 600 whp. i'm going to have be a daily driving car with some occasional street racing.

Well here we go again. This has been covered many.....many times (not trying to be a dick or anything).

The 2.4 has a better rod to stroke ratio then the 2.3 so it can potentially rev higher. There are lots of pros and con's to both....the 2.4 has had some head gasket issues...etc

in all honesty i don’t feel like writing a whole paragraph...just make sure you research research research before you commit to buy.

If your 4g63 block is not broke then build a 2.3, but If you put a rod through the side of it, build a 2.4 because the 2.4 is a 4g64 block, thats what makes it cheaper.

Which setup allows you to rev higher, the stock 2.0 or the 2.4?

2.0 or 2.1 will rev higher. If you're going to go with a stock frame turbo go with 2.3 or 2.4 as your shift points will before the rev limits. And unless you plan on pushing the black up pretty high you wont run into any 4th gear rpm issues. If you go with 3586 or 6262 or something go with 2.0 or 2.1.

2.4 adds up. If you dont have a good 4G63 block go with a 2.4 Otherwise stay with a 2.0, 2.1 or 2.3. You can rev a 2.4 LR to 8500 safely

On the Buschur portal there is a pretty extensive write-up on the differences between these two engines.
