Kinda defeats the purpose. It's an interesting technical exercise and the competence of the builder cannot be denied. My question is, in a usable sense, all this was done to what end?

ET is bringing F1 inspired technology to market. These parts may not be necessary for most evo owners. But I for one am glad there are people still pushing the envelope.

The car is a great testiment as to what a CT9A can handle powerwise! I'm glad they tested the boundaries! Keep going!

^^^ Are the posts above replies to my question? If so, I guess you guys agree: There's no point to this (on a street car) aside from a technical exercise. Exciting news, indeed. With enough money and manpower we can get a 4g revving to 11K. Should be an international holiday.

^ Totally disagree. I think my post is clear enough, but I'm glad this company is doing what they are doing WITH a STREET CAR, or a RACE Car.

FJF, I believe Spyros does this for his own enjoyment of the platform. i don't believe this is his bread and butter or most of his time spent on. He builds components for rally teams and works with f1 manufacturing people for parts to supply to teams of different high end race classes. This is his own joy. I don't think he's trying to make a "package deal" for the masses or any of that sort. It's just to show what is possible and not theory but in practice. Indeed, a technical exercise on the 4g63

Fair enough; you disagree. On what basis? This is what you said:

"The car is a great testiment as to what a CT9A can handle powerwise! I'm glad they tested the boundaries! Keep going!"

How is this not a technical exercise, the notion you disagreed with, when you're directly citing a technical exercise? What do you disagree with?

FJF the answer is simple. Its called progress.

Spyros is exploring the upper limits of the platform. The use of alternate materials and manufacturing processes is redefining what was previously thought possible.

YOUR street car may never have need for these parts or this technology. But rest assured there are others who will benefit from Spyros' efforts.

OK. Where is the benefit?

This was never in question.

Let's go with that. Whose street car does not need usable power below, say, 5K? A race car that's kept on the boil, sure. A street car - how and why?

FJF if you do not think spyros' work and products for the CT9A is worthwhile then don't buy his stuff. But it seems to me like you are trying to sour others on it as well.

Do you harbor some resentment towards extreme tuners for some reason?

Its simple really. See not every product is designed for every customer. If its not for you, then move along. Let the rest of us that are excited about billet 4G63 blocks shifting at 11k rpms enjoy Spyros' work.

You're essentially reciting your previous statement. I asked several questions in hopes of streamlining its focus. Can you please address those questions directly so that we can all realize how we benefit from this?

Ok I will bite. See its not a 'technical exercise' because extreme tuners develops and sells parts that people actually buy. They may be parts you have no desire to buy. But some people do.

Heh, really? How about responding to the questions I asked you, the ones based directly on your own words? If the other gentleman would like to respond to the comment addressed to him, I'll gladly reply. For now, it would be nice you could review the aforementioned queries. TIA

.. you're confusing the difference between technical and theoretical.

They may be parts you have no desire to buy. But some people do.
So what? How does that apply to any of the questions I've raised? I'm sure the parts are beautifully made, thoroughly researched, and backed with some guarantee of survival. That's hardly the point.
