Bed Liner on Turbo, IC Pipes or Manifolds

I was just curious if spraying bed liner materials on your IC pipes or Manifold would keep things cooler? or if there is a product out there that would make it work better to give it a coating? Would the Bed Liner burn off the manifold? Sorry if these question sund stupid but was curious.

Just get some exhaust manifold wrap and call it a day

You can get foil heat tape for the IC and what not as well.

I don't see truck bed liner on a manifold ending well. I would consider having the manifold ceramic coated and just wrap the IC pipes, but I'm not sure you're going to notice that much of a difference unless you're tracking the car?

Well on the manifold does sound a bit dumb but I was just thinking mostly on the lower IC pipes to keep it clean from snow salt and debri gettin on it. I was also wondering if it would keep it cooler because its insulated with it

I dont think that putting it on the manifold will end up going very well lol I could possibly see it on the lower IC pipe but thats about it maybe the upper also. I really wouldn't be able to tell you on the tempature decresing unless your logging the before and after...

I could only find one site with the temp ratings...only good to 175deg. http://www.rhinoaz.com/Rhino_Linings...fications.html.

I would go with exhaust wrap and call it good.

I honestly would not worry about it. If you have a stock mani, use the factory heat shield. Coating the pipes could also cause it to retain heat in certain situations.

Your manifold will most definitely burn off bed liner because it's rubber, and it'll also put some stank in your car. As for the IC pipes, wrapping them in heat reflective foil would be the only choice for them. Exhaust wrap is for keeping heat in, not letting it out. I've seen the Honda boys wrap their intakes in exhaust wrap They are not to be imitated.

On the lower intercooler pipe i dont really see it causing a problem, but i just dont think bed liner is a good idea. As far as the manifold goes, like was stated earlier, just get it ceramic or jet coated.
