Car is running baddddddd...need help!

Iv been driving the car for about 5 months now and its been running baddddddd. It has 272 cams installed so it has a lope sound to her. But after i rev it up alittle it drops so low in rpms it almost shuts off and it likes to idil down when pulling in a parking spot. Also It runs really super richhhh. when backing up it loads up with fuel and blows black smoke everywhere. Just wanted to ask the form to see if there is any sensors that might be going bad or something i need to clean. THANKS!!

Sounds like it just needs a tune to raise the idle some, and to tune for those cams that are in the car if it hasn't been yet.

+1 boost leak check and should prob change your plugs after you fix the leaks. Running that rich they are most likely fouled out. Best of luck to you

Agree that this looks like a ****ty tune. I bought my car it was running very much like yours is now. Got a good tune done, and not a problem since then. New plugs not a bad idea either.

Usually with big cams/injectors the ECU needs to re-learn idle after each time you reset the battery.

In your case, the tune is probably just ****ty, since you say it's been going on for a few months.

i would do a compression test, boost leak test, and change all fluids if u havent yet and get tuned by a known shop.tuner on here. i would recommend aarron @ english racing for a tune.

The Evo doesn't relearn anything with big injectors or cams. But yes it probably has a crap tune on it and a boost leak.

ok so i finally got around to plugging a scanner into the evo today, its throwing 9 codes. there mostly all o2 codes(which im thinking is the front one but there is not one installed in the new housing so tomorrow i am going to replace that). also the cam angle sensor is throwing codes so im going to replace that this week. Do you think that will be making my car run like ****???
