Cluster question

Does anyone know if an Evo 9 Rs Cluster works on an Evo 8 Gsr?I ask this question because someone told me it wont work because of the ACD feature (Gravel Tarmac Snow) anyone ???????

I was under the impression it works, just the lights on the acd stay lit. cant verify but thats what i read that it plugs right in.
