Never buying knockoff

sorry feel like b**ching. i bought an voltex rear diffuser knock off and just got it installed 2 days ago. i was driving down from indiana to chicago and when i got here.. i noticed all the center brackets cracked, 1 bracket flew off, other two had cracked bolt holes. the center of the diffuser just about all grounded off and cracked. When i first got it home, my friend told me some of the area looks extra thin but didn't think nothing of it. this is the first knock off parts i bought and will be the last!

A mate of mine bought a knock off HKS SSQ. It kept falling to bits whenever he upped the boost. But he kept trying the knock off cause someone told him they're all the same. It's not worth the hassle, do it right first time. Proven brands or nothing here.

some parts are fine as "knockoffs", just depends on what you get. body parts are something you shouldn't buy knockoffs of, though

i was thinking if i forgot something on it but nope, it got ripped out from the bolt holes, bolts still hanging but bracket broke and cause middle of the diffuser to sag and it got dragged on the highway

Hmm....sounds like it was made in China, the worlds most elite rip off artists. This thread is an excellent testament to why doing it right, and spending the money for the real thing pays off in the end.

buying knock off's is one thing...buying some random no name knock off's takes it to another level. most of those chinese companies don't have quality control at all. next time, if you don't want to spend the money and wait months for top name brands, look for reputable knock off's (rexpeed in this case).

Those brackets came with this body kit? they are extra thin and made of annealed (O) aluminum it appears. Structural parts should never be made of un tempered metal. Ridiculous.

i think we have all been down this road one way or another. i bought a knock off vortex generator($31 shipped)didnt even fit. was about 6 inches too long. tried to contact seller and they said it was a off road item, lmao;(point is somethings you can skate buy on with knockoffs. turbos, body parts, wastegates, bovs, ect are not. soory for what happened. chalk it up as "lesson learned"

Wow sorry to hear that. But it goes to show all knockoffs are just that a knockoff and not as good quality.

This thread should be merged with the one about the voltex replica kit I got bashed in where everyone claimed body panels aren't as important as engine components when it comes to knockoffs and they are the same as the real product.

Im subscribing to this thread to see if anyone of those who flamed me for saying knockoff voltex parts are not the same and don't perform the same as real voltex parts agrees or makes a statement like "ya get what ya pay for" cuz ill be the first to call em out cuz I knew I was right all along.
