I dont think that will help it as far as cracking. If you crack the lip, you probably hit it hard and it wouldnt matter if you had the foam in it or not

ive heard horror stories of peeps just cruising around and out of nowhere they have damage on their cf lip i might give it a try when the lip arrives and see if it improves it at all... it seems to work on the centre section of the 8 wing after all

You just have to try and avoid potholes and steep inclines. Always remember to enter and exit ramps on a 45 degree angle and you'll be fine. Rock chips/animals on the hi-way on the other hand...you can't avoid.

I'm a big believer in imitation carbon fiber lips because they WILL take a beating at some point and your heart will explode the moment that happens. You also don't want to be put in a bad situation if you actually have to decide if swerving erratically is a better option than simply going through a random object on the road. Your Evo is probably lowered and this will further expose the lip.

Case in point, I am one of the most careful drivers on lowered cars. I never scrape my lip, I don't hit the parking curb and everyone used to comment that my lip looks brand new [on my previous E46 M3]. Nevertheless, I'm on the freeway and a tire belt comes hurtling towards me from another car that ran over it. I have no choice but to take it and BOOM--bye bye lip. Thank God it wasn't some super-rare JDM part that cost me hundreds to thousands of dollars.

I have found 42.7 degrees to work best for me.

About to purchase one, but never heard of just driving it and then it cracking by itself lol, either the material was super poor quality and they bought it off ebay or they hit something

i argee with you 100% no matter what you do there will be damage. IMO stay away from JDP i believe it was around $500 new. i bought one of the first batches of the evo 9 SE style front lip, and within the first 2 weeks the lip started to not only discolor, but one slight tap on a parking stone, and my lip just cracked like nothing.

true they arent meant to take punishment, but why punish your wallet? go for a rexpeed or bayson R brand lip. they probably will last and if they dont at least you wont be crying it got ****ed up and you spent an arm and a leg.

Im looking at a ralliart style lip which is similar to do luck but slightly more aggressive. I think they are the same as on the FQ400
