Why park your Evo in the winter when it was kinda made for it?
I plan to drive my Evo every day, no matter what the circumstance! There is no need for me to park it because it is All Wheel Drive! Therefore, it can get through anything! That was one of the main reasons behind my purchase!

I just came back from Toronto. Its not even Winter and seeing these rusted hulks of what used to be a decent looking car was a reminder for me why I always said if I move back I will never drive the car I want to keep in the snow.
I love snow driving and would use my evo but the salt just makes it not worth it.

So for me, now living in FL where there really is no inclement weather or "winter" to speak of at the end of months of ordering replacement parts/bushings/bolts and doing underbody work to make it all clean again... personally and IMHO the juice isn't worth the squeeze man.
Exactly!!! I jus spent a grip sand blasting... bead blasting... priming, painting and cleaning up my shocks, springs, control arms... just about everthing suspension related underneath the friggin car minus the half shafts (cause they will be easier to jus replace) because after almost 8 years of DD in the north east, mid west and europe everything underneath the car was a diferent flavor of rust color from all the winter months of salt, sand and whatever else is on the roads when the weather is yuk. Don't get me wrong yeah it's a blast to drive in... but if you are planning on keeping your EVO forever as I am, maintaining said parts comes at a price.

From: Why do they always call the Evo the Dark Side?
Salt, other drivers, 800 lb/in spring rates, and I already have a DD.
Plus if something happened it would mean I would have to try to find another relatively clean IX and that's only going to get harder the more the years roll on.

While I admire and respect those that can put a car away for the winter I just can't do it.
And it has nothing to do with the Evo being rally inspired AWD ect. Its a car and was designed to be driven. I shall do so until the wheels fall off. Maybe if I had something one off or limited production(<500)I would tuck it away but otherwise I'm gonna slap some winters on it and drive it no matter what it is.
That being said I do spend a lot of time combating rust and my car only ends up winning cause parts that need replacing just get replaced with better.
For those that do drive in winter remember...copper grease is your best friend.

I was enjoying that video until the last 10 seconds when I saw you using the community car wash brush/mop to clean your car.
