Guage overlay
Guage overlay
Hey guys looking for a nice guage overlay that looks stock. i searched and i see the trustz guage and thats all i see and the last post on that was in 2010. i was just wondering if these are my best bet and easiest install? or is there a new overlay that is just as good? any help is great guys thanks!
i like the look of the trustz they are nice and bright it seems it is a nice alternative than the plain red and u get rid of the Lancer spot lol. just looking for other ideas
I have never seen these in person or have heard of anyone else using them but how about these?

I have trustz gauges and absolutely love them. I hated the "lancer" spot which is changed to "evolution" with the trustz overlays. I would be careful when you look for overlays tho. A lot of the cheap over lays are just that overlays. They use the stock gauge lighting and can dim the lighting output. The trustz gauges have their own lighting source so they can be brighter then stock. You can control how bright they are and mine can switch between blue and green. Install is pretty easy. All you have to do to install them is vampire clip into the harness. I carefully stripped the cover off the stock harness wires and soldered the trustz gauges to them to insure a good connection that wouldn't come apart. You don't have to do that but that's what I did.

this is also an option but i personally feel like i would like the bright white output of the trustz better than the stock red.

If you vampire clipped into them then it would be easy to go back to stock. Just remove the clip and wrap a little electrical tap around it. You might be able to to figure an alternative way to power them that doesn't use tapping into the stock harness but that sounded like too much work to me.
