I have trustz gauges and absolutely love them. I hated the "lancer" spot which is changed to "evolution" with the trustz overlays. I would be careful when you look for overlays tho. A lot of the cheap over lays are just that overlays. They use the stock gauge lighting and can dim the lighting output. The trustz gauges have their own lighting source so they can be brighter then stock. You can control how bright they are and mine can switch between blue and green. Install is pretty easy. All you have to do to install them is vampire clip into the harness. I carefully stripped the cover off the stock harness wires and soldered the trustz gauges to them to insure a good connection that wouldn't come apart. You don't have to do that but that's what I did.

so could there be a better way than splicing just incase i went back to my stock setup for some reason? i dont like destroying stock harnesses i donno i might be weird but thats me haha

this is also an option but i personally feel like i would like the bright white output of the trustz better than the stock red.

If you vampire clipped into them then it would be easy to go back to stock. Just remove the clip and wrap a little electrical tap around it. You might be able to to figure an alternative way to power them that doesn't use tapping into the stock harness but that sounded like too much work to me.
