Best tool kit

I'm just curious on what tool kits or sets other evo drivers use. I want to find a set that is reasonably priced of good quality to keep in the trunk of my car to do work on my car and be handy if I ever become stranded. Share your thoughts or products with me! thanks!

Ive got a stanley kit, pretty sure my wife got it at walmart around the holidays for like $30. Its got most of what you would need for simple quick repairs...

I've personally assembled my own in car tool kit from the tool's /toolkits I've acquired over the years..

Crafstman has an awesome mechanics toolkit for under $300 that has SO many useful tools and what not, have that combined with a few of the under $100 kits and I took the most common tools and placed them in my navy tool bag... weighs like 10-15lbs but has literally everything I need to fix whatever on the side of the road.. without a jack of course...

I also carry the Craftsman 1/2" electric impact gun in my trunk too, just in case(THAT THING RAWKS!!!)

Harbor freight has some good tools for cheap too... use them for some of the tools that dont get used as often as others... but my main tools I use craftsman Would buy snap-on/mac tools if I could afford it but craftsman gets the job done

It seems like everytime I work on my Evo I end up empying my tool chest. So, the only tools I carry is something to fix a blown hose.

check out home depot, husky tool sets for a small one that has everything you need is $30-$60 and have lifetime warranties, break something, bring it back to HD and swap 'em. plus a nice carrying case that is easily thrown in the trunk and forgotten about until you need it.

also, google "the tuggie" for the winter time

FWIW, here is a tool forum. Arguably the best of its kind:

I use the 300 dollar craftsman kit. Fits in the trunk, has almost all the tools you will need to work on the car, and is a easy way to figure out what tools the car has eaten while you worked on it. Also the top has room for extras that you may buy. I have gotten two so far, and also the smaller fold case. Plus with their warranty, you break anything in it, they replace it. I dont know how many 1/2 in ratchets I have broken off and swapped out. I might also misuse my tools a bit...

I think 4RETECH has the best tool kit, his car is like a rolling shop.

I don't carry a whole tool kit but only the tools to tighten up clamps, remove front bumper, or wheels. Anything else I have it covered under my auto insurance.

I bought a Craftsman kit about 2 years ago. it was on sale for the holidays for 199.99 and that thing is pretty awesome! I've broken a rachet and some of the sockets and i just go to sears and get a new set! I also have a few Snap on and blue point air tools that are pretty good that i got as a gift from my father. Deff all the tools i needed to do most the crap on my car!
