Does anyone know where I can get a 2.4 block to build myself?

 

Junkyard near me sell a whole engine for 650! but ebay, craigslist and on here block with crank 200-400 bucks

Not sure, check out the pick n'pull website and see there locations. I was going to say if you where more south, there was one almost on the illinois/wisconsin border. I know about 3 months ago when i was there there was a ****load of 4g64 motors in vehicles that just had collision damage. Just look around there not to hard to come by.

 

I was able to find a 2001 Galant with a 2.4 in it that the junk yard said was seized. I told them I would give them the core price for it and they pulled it for me. Once I got it home the balance shaft had seized and the block and crank were in good shape. Total price paid: $50! Do some talking and you can find yourself some great deals!
