Wow After reading this thread I am starting to sway my decision. I have an HKS intake. Is the Perrin that much more superior over the HKS?

The only down side is that its very noisy. Any time you dip into the throttle a little you can hear it spool up like a Boeing 747. Some people like that but I prefer not to drive around in car that sounds like a jet.
Hmm I see thanks for the input I'm convince now order one right now

Honestly I'm sure that most intakes will perform the same.... in fact in previous cars I've had a variety of them. The classic one are hard to clean, they tend to rust and sometimes they simply fall apart. The Perrin is simple to maintain and fairly inexpensive. Seems like a good choice to me.

I'm feeling too lazy/tired right now or else I'd post the link, but Chad at CBRD had a good test and tune post on here about the Perrin intake. The subject car had pretty minor bolt ons and the outcome was around 20hp or something crazy over the car's existing setup and that was WITHOUT additional tuning. Chad's a straight shooter - his writeup and results are trustworthy.
