Bye Bye Stock Wheels. 2 of 4 at least

Had a bit of a mishap a few nights back. Hit a curb pretty hard, flatted both my driver's side tires, demolished the rims and scuffed up my front caliper when the wheels gave in a bit.

After I took off the wheels, I inspected the linkages and arms to see if anything was bent, but it looksl like they're still in tact. I'm probably going to borrow my some wheels from a cousin just so my car can roll around and I can check to see if there's any other damage.

Is there anything I should look out for or pay attention to? I'm going to buy new wheels and probably go in for an alignment check to make sure everything else is ok. But if anybody has some tips or other info, I'd appreciate it.

Poor Sabrina. She's in pain...

Yeah. Got the car up on my ramps and got it jacked up. Gonna take more pics and look at the damage in more detail.

Here's some extra pics. It looks like everything is fine, but I won't know about alignment or any other non-cosmetic things til I get some wheels back on and drive it around.

Car will be out of commission for a few days or weeks until I can get my new Advans or SSRs. I'll take this time to get my WBO2 installed and slap on some parts that have also been waiting to be installed.

Looks like I'll be spending my Xmas bonus even before it gets to my bank.

why not claim it on insurance and have them pay you to get the damages fixed, or let them fix it, sell the wheels to a honda guy and have ur caliper fixed and alignment proffesionally checked ect. ect., i mean yea u pay the deductable but it may be worth it

It may be cheaper to go out of pocket even to get stock wheels again with new rubber and alignment. My deductible is 1k so I'm going to check the numbers to see what is the least expensive route.

Yeah they are. Looks like I'll be ordering some 18x9 SSR Type F's in Matte Black wrapped with some Bridgestone Potenza RE11's. Might as well go get my full Ti exhaust and Ti IC piping from ETS.

I like your ramps, looks like a cheap (albeit bulky) way to do some work on the car a bit easier

Thanks. If I ever buy my own place I'd make them again but much wider so I can fit different cars and don't have to worry too much about lining up for the approach.
