I just moved back to the US after living in Japan for 4 year. While there I got me a TME RS and after a lot of work and being denied a show and display exemption I was able to get approved for a perminant race exclusion so I was able to get my car back to the US through customs with no issue and duty free being military. It is not street legal though. This was no easy feat and Mitsu US only seemed willing only because it was the TME RS specifically. The rarest factory evo from Mitsubishi(not a tuner ie. ralliart FQ's, zerofighters, monte carlo) and there was a press release for the RS being built for entry into motorsports and FIA homolagation papers on ralliart's website. It still tookn 6 month of calls and emails after a rep agreed before I got the letter. Then came the EPA portion. But I got all the paper work needed and just this week I picked my car up in Long Beach. Here it is on US soil. The other one is my wifes, as you can see we lack imagination and that is the 4th evo we've owned.
