Blox Front Motor Mount
Blox Front Motor Mount
Just installed this mount on my Evo IX. I bought it off this forum for $60.00 NIB. The install is easy, but I had to leave all the bolts loose to get everything lined up. Also, I used the stock 14mm bolt in the rear hole. It gives you more room to get a wrench on it. The Blox bolt has a 17mm head. I used an S wrench to tighten the rear bolt. Once everything is lined up, slowly tighten the bolts and everything goes together nicely.
You feel the difference when you start the car. It just feels more solid. I did not notice any additional vibration. Some people say you can feel a little vibration through the steering wheel, but it is inconsequential. The car should of had this from the factory. I already had the shifter bushings and the underhood busings installed prior to the mount. The mount just made everything nice and solid. Shifts are better, the engine does not move, and it is very nice to drive. This is a nice, inexpensive mod. There is no additional vibration issue.
