Please help!

okay so i'm in the middle of a evo 8 head swap on a 2002 eclipse gs as some of you may know...

i've purchased everything from the "evo 8 head swap parts list"
and the very last few things i bought was the dipstick and dipstick tube, the rear water pipe and the intake manifold bracket (as in the bracket that supports the manifold and connects to the block) anyways i bought it from a guy off here called "Sierra Motorsports"

i got everything as said except this....
what does this go to? this is a bracket off the evo 8 but where does it belong??? this is NOT the intake manifold bracket that supports it. so i'm a little confused.

That braket goes to passenger side of the intake manifold studs. goes over the top of the intake mani flange and a bolt goes throught the alternator braket and bolts up to that brakets welded nut . so its an upper alternator braket.. the litle tab will point straight up when installed. the the braket has an L shape. where the top mounting bolt goes on the most outer head stud and then wraps under the intake runner to bolt up from under neath.

oh okay.
so with the evo 8 head swap on the eclipse, i never saw this thing on the parts list, so i'm assuming i don't need it for the swap.

ah alright thanks bro.

yeah i noticed on the "evo 8 head swap on the 3g eclipse" parts list,
it says Four things about 2.4l eclipse, then everything else says evo 8, yet it never says evo 8 timing belt, only timing belt front and rear cover, lower cover and upper cover lol. i know i need the evo 8 timing belt so i bought a Greddy Kevlar Timing belt, i just thought it was odd that it never said that. also now with me buying a AEM EMS series 2 (since i'm doing the DOHC head swap and a gtx3582r turbo) shall i buy the Evo 8 aem ems? or the 3g eclipse aem ems??

The aem ems v2 has the same part # for the 3g eclipse 00-02 as for the evo 8 so it really want matter you will get the same one either way you go buy the evo 8 one its your choice you just will have to upload your cal.
