just curious if the seals are the same

bump , i'v seen a site that says they are then i'v seen some people say there not , for a 2003 evo8 my mechanic might have put a passenger seal on the driver side is that even possible ?

driver side (transmission) - MD758763 - $3.19 - mitsubishiparts.net
passenger side (tcase) - MN132370 - $9.79 - mitsubishiparts.net
