Best route to take?

Alright peeps.. I am trying to go to the next level here.. just trying to decide which route to take and if I want to gamble getting a window in my stock block. My ultimate goal is 600-650hp without pushing the powerband too far to the right. Low end power and transient response are important to me. The BBK Full (good for 32lbs I believe) should be fine for now and then upgrading to a BB of some sort later on. I just want the best well balanced setup regardless of drag\street racing and daily driving.

Option 1:

This will be the cheaper route but the most risky given my current power levels with the stock bottom end.

GSC S2 cams
Beehive springs with retainers
MIL.Spec 65mm
MAP V2 Intake
Maybe Tubular Exh Mani

Option 2:

MAP 2.3l Stage 1 with Manely Forged Crank, Manley H Beams, Wiseco Pistons, ACL MAin and Rod And Thrust Bearings, ARP Main Studs
MAP stage 1 with supertech valves, seals, ferrea guides, gsc beehives, Ti retainers and Chromoly Seats
GSC S2 Cams
MAP V2
MIL.Spec 65mm

Thoughts?

you may as well build the motor now. your pushing the limits at this time no need to blow it up when you could of just save your self some money on the block by doing it now and not after you shoot a rod threw the block. and you will pick up some power and trq by going with a 2.3l

If low end power is a must, then you should absolutely focus on getting the 2.3l

You're second option will be more beneficial to your power goal. But your two lists are like polar opposites price wise

Yeah.. I think building the bottom end has to be the next thing I do before I window my block.
