Looking for a new ECU Evo 9

I am currently running SD on my Evo IX and i am looking at options on getting a new ECU

What do you think of AEM EMS2 vs Vipec vs SD (Stock ECU)

I know it's down to the mapper but i would like to hear you opinion and views if anyone used both the ECU's to map

with tepha v7 on stock ecu no need to switch to an aftermarket ecu. better spend the money else where like suspension, or power or track time.

The car is fully forged with a 2.0 longrod and lots of extras and a GTX35 Turbo...........if the car had stage 1 mods then I guess the OEM ecu would be ok.

There are currently guys running upwords of 800whp on the stock ECU. Unless your needing something specific that the stock ECU cannot be programed for, I would honestly not see where swapping to an aftermarket ecu would benefit.

Gone are the days of "having" to run a aftermarket ecu to achieve a good tune, great power and daily drive-ability. With the right tuner behind the keyboard anywhere in the world, your car can be tuned.

You will not find better Tech support for said ecu anywhere in any other market either. Look at how many coders, tuners, DIYers, and average joes that are willing to help or have been thru it already.

Dont try to reinvent the wheel when the round one works so well.
