I would probably just look into buying some winter tires if you cant afford buying spare wheels and tires. I don't think that summer tires would be a good idea even with the ACD... What happens if you have to stop or turn suddenly? Just my Opinion!

Snow tires will preform way better, but I have gotten by with summer tires.

This guy is selling his winter/snow tires with wheels..... probably pricier than you are wanting to shell out (shipping too may be required) but they can be found on EvoM!

Someone else was selling just snow/winter tires at around $400....if my memory serves me.... Get your search on and you may just luck out!

ahhh those tires sold today....haha oh well.

Thanks for the input everyone, I guess I'm just going to bite the bullet and get myself a set of blizzaks mounted on stocks (on top of out-of-state tuition). Gotta pay to play....IN THE SNOW!

Another quick question on this subject, Im not going to get what I want for my wheels so Im going to find some snow tires to mount on them, Im currently running 245/40/18 on 18x9.5 rota grids....can I run 235/40/18 blizzaks on it or will the stretch render them useless??

This is true but notice i said he should keep his current wheel and tire setup for the summer and get stock wheels with winter tires for the winter

Also, people should stop giving bad advice about how its possible to make it through winter with summer tires. Yes, its POSSIBLE. But it can be pretty dangerous, not to mention you're quickly killing the tread on your summer tires in the winter because the rubber on summer tires isn't formulated for colder temperatures (rubber becomes too hard). Winter tires are a MUST (or at least good all seasons) and don't let anyone tell you any different. Its both the safest and the most cost effective to have separate setups for summer and winter.

As far as fitting blizzaks on your current wheels, im not sure thats such a good idea. Thinner is better when it comes to snow so the width of those wheels isnt gonna help. Plus stretching the tire will probably have adverse effects too. but others can pitch in on this if theyve ever tried to run a similar setup in the winter. But im sure you can find cheap stock wheels somewhere. maybe even evo 8 wheels? I think it will be better in the long run to just bite the bullet as you said and find some stock wheels

Ok thanks a lot. Its just I can pick up a set with one season on them for 100 bucks! Just figured that would be better than summers for now. Anyone else try to run this?

Well someone had to give it a try haha.....picked up those blizzaks for dirt cheap (couldnt pass up almost new tires for 100 bucks). For anyone reading who may have the same idiotic question as me, DO NOT run stretched snow tires on a wide rim. It is actually worse than my summer tires and actually is more of a stretch than i anticipated. Im going to pick up a set of 18x8 rims and use the blizzaks on that. So as everyone stated, WIDE WHEELS IN SNOW= .....dont do it if you can get around it
