I bought my 05 MR with 56k for 11 on ebay, but it had crappy paint from being previously stolen, resprayed blue, then sprayed white again.

I would definitely pick this up for 15. Insurance companies like state farm will even fully cover it for only 20% less than current retail for clean title, which in this case if you totaled it, you would get 80% of around $23k, the approx current retail value.

hope this helps

its certainly worth looking at. look if it slightly pulls to one side and has front end work done. I remember looking at a white 9MR back in september in sac area that had some slight problems

I have talked to this guy on the phone and he told me that it had no damage at first.. then he admitted to me that it was salvaged due to flood damage.. he said he flushed out the mic and piping.. put new spark plugs and flushed tranny .. he also spray painted the Fmic Wichityia makes me think it had rust.. this car is probably a nightmare

How many Evos are there in the USA? We here in SA only got 50 imported of each generation Evo.

This guy had the same car on ebay for awhile.I was thinking of buying it,he never had a compression test done and never made me a video like I asked.I had a guy on dsmtuners that lives by this guy check the car out.He said the car was dirty under the hood and the exterior like it had never been washed. The valves tap really bad,no power when boost comes on,but the guage is reading boost,he removed the pillar pod, stuck a stock pillar back up with screws in it.All the vin numbers match. The passenger side was in water(fresh water) but the water line is above the transmission. The owner told me that water was in the fmic, piping,in the motor, the owner also said it has an exedy stage 2 clutch in it,the guy that looked at it,said it has a stock clutch. The car also has 51k miles instead of the 46k the owner claims. Also the transfer case to driveshaft seal leaks

Glad I saw this thread, I have seen this car listed on ebay CL a few times and it did have me thinking about it. Sounds like some people have had good luck with salvage/rebuilt title cars but not being local it is good to hear the details of what someone actually found with the car.

Salvage vehicle is just as easy as clear title vehicle I owned both clean title and salvage and we had more problems with our clean title car then salvage one, it all depends where was the damage, if it is roof damage, engine rail damage, or side damage to driver door post or passenger door post then stay away from those cars, but if it was staright damage in front or rear or if it was vandalized or stolen those are safe to buy I gurantee that, you can also go to a trusted mechanic and have it inspected for frame damage and anything else you would like to know
