So, it seems some work has been done to the SE.... Dealer doesn't know how much as the car hasn't been thoroughly looked over... Guy said, "I think there's headers or something on it.".... Supposed to be emailing me more pics w/more info???? I'm bummed, as the hubby was more for the SE also than the '03... But, maybe it's not heavily modded? Hmmm.........

Also, about the ACD.... Do you all feel it's a huge difference? For example, I remember my '03 taking me home 100 miles in over a foot of snow one year I had it (yes, literally a foot of snow! I had to pull over periodically to tap snow out of the wheel wells in order to steer... Ha!)... with Blizzak LM-22's mind you. But, the '06 MR didn't seem any better on the same tires, and maybe worse, in the snow even with ACD on 'snow.'
I do have an issue with so-called luxury features in a car.... I never use cruise control for example, so perhaps the car giving more slip psychs me out or something, lol!

Take somebody with you to take a close look at bought cars, to get as second opinion. I would go with the SE. Just my 2 cents. Good Luck.

If you want a yellow one so bad, why not look into STM's 03? Its only got 65k miles on it and they are asking $16k for it. Just food for though. Car is extremely clean too for the money.

I would vote IX SE over the VIII all day if they were both stock... but with a tubular manifold no way the SE hasn't been molested, one owner or not. You would want a full pre-purchase inspection by a shop that knows Evo's before you bite the bullet on the car if you have no intention to modify it. Otherwise just buy the VIII, with that few miles on it, its unlikely its been modded. ...That being said, MIVEC IS a big advantage if you intend to make any changes to the car including just minor bolt-ons/tune.

Oh, yes, I did see that one.... It's a little over 215 miles from me... Honestly, the tinting turned me off, and the fact that it had been modded. But, ppl seem to say it's a clean car?

I am also looking for an evo 9. I saw this car online and thought alot about getting it but they said it has an upgraded intercooler and manifold which scared me off. I would of considered if but not with the manifold.

The car looks suppper clean though

Don't just jump into buying a car. Alot of people do that and then are not happy with what they buy. Keep looking is my opinion.

As for you donmeca2020, are you 12 years old? I simply stated the facts of what they did upgrade wise to the IX's and stated my opinion. You say that you don't want another "why the 9 is better than the 8 thread" then shut up. Nobody is doing that. OPINIONS!!!!
