evo 8 or evo 10. help
In a perfect world, kinda. Realistically, you'd be best off buying a new X. Used is a crap-shoot either way. Good luck.
I've grown fond of the Evo X. Im still not a super big fan of em. They have improved on aspects of it. The 2 things I do like about it is
- Mivec Timing on both exhaust and intake cams which help on spool up.
- newer technology (auto climate, active yaw control, miles til your gas runs out, temperature, signal thing, etc).
Is that enough to make me buy one? Hellz no! Not unless I win the lottery!
well regardless if i pick up my buddies evo or not i'm thinking about buying his fp green and cams either way. what do you guys think of the green and a set of kelford 272's for 1300$ for both.
depends on if the green is used, i think you said earlier that it was new, if so thats a decent price. As far as stock internals go, supposedly you can do 550, I personally would be careful running at that level, but you can get to 400-450sh on fpgreen and the stock internals should handle that fine.
Personally id got with a 9. take your time and find as low of miles and as few mods as you can. i know that might be asking for alot but they are still out there. ive seen guys that bought them for their mid life crisis cars n have now moved onto other things lol. Theres just something about the 4B11 i dont like but ive been playing with 4G63's for 10 years also. im also not a fan of the body style takes me back to how i felt when Mitsu went from the 2G body to that Fugly 3G.
ive owned 5 evos...1 evo8, 2 evo9s 2 evo 10s...if racing is your thing, get a 9...its lighter..10 for daily...but be really carefull shopping used...take some one with you that knows the car..its easy to get someone elses problem..either way you will love it..
the greens used and ported. It was Jason from j&s Dyno in pittsburgh, turbo is mint and was only in a car for about 2 months roughly. and the prices of the 9's are so high =l i'm just going to try and find an 8. yea i've read the internals will handle 5's but im happy with 400's on a mustang dyno
I've owned an VIII and currently own a IX, loved both vehicles, aside from the VIII being a complete turd. The IX as a stock car, makes a great but aggressive DD, it's fun to drive any day of the week in any type of weather. I've been looking at the newer X's lately, and I've got to admit that I want one just to have one. All of the extra creature comforts plus the drivetrain make it very attractive to own. I wouldn't mind having one as stock as a DD and then build out the IX as a weekend warrior.
