I was just told my turbo bearing is going.
I was just told my turbo bearing is going.
I started my car up in front of a friend the other day and it made this grinding/rattling noise for a split second. (thats the best way i can describe the noise). he said my turbo bearing is going.
Is my friends turbo bearing failure theory accurate?
the car is a IX mr at 76k with a turbo back, IC piping, and dyno tuned.
if the turbo is going, what are good options for replacing it? i wouldn't mind staying with stock turbo but if theres any other better turbos out there in the same price range, and that wouldn't require much supporting mods i'm open to that as well.
thanks for the help, i'm lost when it comes to EVO's. i just came from 5 years of driving two wrx's and an STI.

10/100,000 powertrain, player. See if you can get it covered - if you are the orginal owner, although I can't remember if that is considered powertrain or not. My guess is, it is something else and not the turbo.
