URGENT, warranty question for a dealer tech?

I don't know if this is the right spot to ask or if this is even possible. Can my VIN number be checked to see what repairs have been made to my car at a dealership? Reason I ask is.. my ACD pump is gone, code 82 but I have reason to believe the pump has been changed under warranty once, maybe twice already.. if so, and I can find out if this is true. Can I get the pump changed under warranty again even though I am at 70,000 miles?

I want to try and find this out before I dump the coin on a pump and do it myself

The dealer would be able to give you a history on the car. However, the 10yr/100k warranty that came w/ most 05 MY cars only applies to the original owner. Subsequent owners get the 3yr/36k.

So no they are not going to warranty anything but should be able to tell you if the ACD pump was replaced at a mitsu dealer under warranty ever

My dealer gave me a runaround and wouldn't tell me exactly was done to the car. I know the car has no warranty but if the pump was changed under warranty, does the new pump have its own warranty? That's what I want to know..

Contact a dealer and talk to the service department. Ask then to run your vin number for Mit service work completed. If the first dealer does want to help contact another.

The new parts and labor are under warranty for 12mon/12k for original purchaser however non transferrable so you have no warranty even if done the day before you bought the car and that was just last week. Although if it was that close the dealer may "good will" the repair.
