Gauge Pod Design by Ben from Jade Motorsports

get a carbon fiber 3 gauge pod made for another car (I used one originally made for a Scooby) and just spend the time to sand down the base till it is flush with the evo's dash. Looks even better in person and the gauges will be closer to eye level than all of the other gauge pod designs that I've seen so far.

Nice.. there's always the "old school" gauge cups too.. I made a bracket to mount three gauges without drilling holes in the dash.. Didn't use it on my car though, it was for a friends Lancer.

That looks pretty good. How is it held down (two sided tape, velcro, screws, etc)?

3m double sided ...holds like a champ...no drilling in the dash was involved...but make sure you go with electronic gauges to make it easy for wiring I chose the greddy electronic boost, egt, and oil pressure...

How does it look from outside of the car? Any pics? I definately think I like the gauges on top of the dash for better viewing! Good find!

looks awesome from outside the car..especially if you get carbon fiber....very aggressive. I highly advise this location for gauges if you are not worried about the "sleeper look"...I tried mounting the gauges in other locations and frankly, if it is not close to eye level, it is dangerous to look at while the car is in motion under full boost.

are the gauges pointing straight out?
if yes, is there any way to make them point slightly to the left for easy viewing when driving?

believe it or not, the gauges in the pod are easier to see than the factory gauges. And yes ...you can angle it towards the driver if you really wanted but i chose to center it and the gauges are still easy to read at eye level.
