Pulls Forward in Neutral

Hey all-

With all the clutch issues we've have in the Evo, any strange issue has me paranoid -- I need some advice with the tranny/clutch...

After a cold start (sits overnight in the garage), I start the car and place the gearshift in Neutral. With the clutch pressed-in, the car tachs at about 1500 RPM as it should, and runs unrestricted. Now, when I let the clutch out, the car lurches forward (even with the e-brake engaged) and the engine bogs down to around 1100 RPM -- it seems like the clutch is engaging against something. Is this the throwout bearing? I'm a novice when it comes to trannies.

Also on cold days (less than 32 deg. F.), the clutch makes screeches on downshifts (without rev matching); for example downshifting to second gear to turn at an intersection, the clutch screeches when engaged. Is it shot? I have 17,000 miles on the stock one.

Thanks in advance for any help (I've done a search by the way without success)...

There's another thread about this. It's normal, what you're seeing is because the driveline fluids are cold and stiff.

Replace the fluid with 75-90W synthetic.

I have redline synthetic in mine, and it did it yesterday. I'd suspect it's just whipping the concrete hard fluids in the tranny causing it to move a tad. I wasn't worried about it.
